I hope you all have a safe and relaxing weekend! I’ll see some of you all tomorrow at the Poetry Recitals!
Month: February 2020
A few fun pictures from today’s work period!
I hope you all have a wonderful night. We have two poetry recitals on Saturday: Ms. Gabi’s class at 9 and Ms. Jerical’s class at 10!
An afternoon at Marimont
We are outside enjoying this magnificent weather. I hope your day is equally enjoyable!
What’s the plan for March?
The primary and toddler classrooms will start the month with an art project about the Terra Cotta warriors!
We will continue March with studies about sound and metamorphosis. Listen for the butterfly song–it’s one of the children’s favorites!
A homework assignment will head your way soon to complement and support our sound studies. You and your child will make a drum together! The primary and toddler class will receive the assignments.
Poetry recitals this weekend!
Ms. Gabi’s class has their recital on 2/29 at 9 a.m.
Ms. Jerical’s class has their recital on 2/29 at 10 a.m.
February’s activity calendar!
Sorry about the delay in my delivery of this calendar!
You’ll see that we started to study how we are able to see/vision, the special superpowers of plants (like photosynthesis!), and the onomatopoeia. We have also learned about different figures in black history, including Harriet Tubman, Dr. George Washington Carver, William “Doc” Key, and Vivien Thomas. I urge you to check out the books Before she was Harriet, In the Garden with Dr. Carver, Step Right Up, and Tiny Stitches. They are classroom favorites.
Our big change will occur next week. We will move our Terra Cotta warrior study and art project to the first week of March.
Happy Friday!
What a gorgeous morning! I realized that I did not post this month’s activity calendar to the blog when I wanted to alert you to a change for next week. I’ll post the change when I post the calendar later this morning. Look for March’s calendar next week!
Contigo water bottle recall, round 2
Hello Parents!
Contigo has issued another water bottle recall. I have attached a link so you can see which bottles are affected. If your child has one of these water bottles, we will pour their water in a cup and let them drink from that at lunch time.
Pictures from yesterday and today!
Dear Parents,
Enrollment notes for the upcoming summer and school year were due today. If you have not turned in a form, please feel free to email me!
Thank you so much, Parents!
We had so many donations for the Sharing Birthday boxes that we couldn’t fit everything into the boxes!! Thank you so much for your generosity.
