The classes have spoken and set their classroom goals for the SafePlace toy drive.
The Luminous Kids (with Ms. Adriana, Ms. Olivia, and Ms. Jamira) voted for 48 toys.
The Spontaneous Sealions (with Ms. Yenifer and Ms. Karelie) voted for 30 toys.
The Vibrant Vipers (with Ms. Gabi, Ms. Merilyn, and Ms. Layna) voted for 25 toys.
The actual numbers volunteered by the children were a bit higher (1000 toys), but we settled on a goal we could absolutely achieve 🙂
SafePlace helps so many families and children in need in Austin that they often need other items besides toys. I have attached their wish list here. Any item brought in to school will count towards the children’s goals! The toys should be new and unwrapped.
Our deadline will be next Wednesday, 12.6. I will drive the donations down to the warehouse. Thank you so much for all your generosity!
Continue readingThank you, Parents, for bringing in the delicious food for the feast! The children were invited to have as many servings of their favorite foods as they wanted, enjoyed the special visiting time with their friends, and walked away with full stomachs 🙂
