We’ll see everyone tomorrow morning, when the weather will assuredly make it feel like hot-chocolate, cozy-sock, fuzzy-blanket winter day!

What wonderful costumes!
Thank you, Parents, for all the creativity you displayed in your children’s costumes and for helping them dress up for Fable Day! We had seashores, sunsets, mice, cats, turtles, hares, wolves, apple trees, wolves dressed as apple trees, and hens. They looked fantastic.

Hello, dear Parents!
It was so wonderful to see everyone this morning! I hope you had a relaxing break.
We hope to see you all at the Poetry Recital this Saturday, 12.7.
You can sign up for your child’s recital time here.
The children will recite Fireflies by Pat Mora. Please let me know if you need a copy for practice at home.

I’ve attached a picture of our Rube Goldberg viewing party today. Sorry I couldn’t get the whole crowd from my vantage point! They thoroughly enjoyed the ingenuity of their classmates! We practiced cheering for our friends. If your child says their video was not viewed, could you email me? I don’t know if the larger files made it my way. We will make sure to watch it in class!
Just a reminder that MMS will be closed from 11.25-11.29 for the holiday.
The classes also voted on their fables!
Please see the attachment for the following classes:
Helpful Hyraxes (The Mouse at the Seashore)
Quick Quokkas (The Hen and the Apple Tree)
The Peaceful Poodle Moths voted on the more traditional fable, The Tortoise and the Hare.
The children are invited to come to school on Thursday, 12.5, dressed as a character from their classroom fable (please send them in sneakers).
I hope you all have an amazing holiday and we’ll see you in December!

Hello, dear Parents!
We have an exciting week ahead of us!
Our Fable Dress-Up Day is Thursday, 12.5. Each class voted on a fable to re-enact that day. This project is a neat tie between our science studies of animals and language arts studies of the fable. A copy of the fable should head home today or tomorrow (it depends when our newsletter is delivered) in your child’s lunchbox. On 12.5, please send your child to school dressed up as a character from their chosen fable. Copies of the fable will also be posted on the blog just in case your family is already traveling but you would still like to get started with the costume over the break!
On Thursday, 11.21, we have our Thanksgiving Feast! A parent told me that there has been a large recall of carrots. If your child was assigned to bring carrots that day, please bring cucumber medallions or sugar snap peas (or really veggie that your child likes!). We just want to add a little more colorful food to our Thanksgiving plate 🙂
Thank you so much for sending in all of the wonderful Rube Goldberg videos! On Friday, 11.22, the classes will gather and watch them together. The older friends will be invited to eat popcorn and the younger friends will have a serving of fruit (popcorn is a choking hazard).
Please let me know if you have any questions at all and have a wonderful day!
