Chess and piano class openings

Hello, dear Parents!

If you would like to sign your child up for Knight School, our chess program, they have a few openings this spring semester! Please email Coach Sal at sal@theknightschool.com.

Ms. Emily, the violin teacher, is also starting a piano/music class for children who missed last semester with her. If you would like to start your child on their musical journey with a piano class, please email Ms. Emily at ejrolka@gmail.com. This class will transition to violin the following semester.

Thank you so much and please let me know if you have any questions at all,

Rachel

Dr. Martin Luther King celebration on 1.16

Hello, dear Parents!

Next Thursday, 1.16, we will have an in-class celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King. The teachers have been reading Martin’s Big Words to their students and the older friends will learn about his life through a timeline lesson.

The children will make vegan biscuits as part of their celebration. We can’t make his favorite foods like fried chicken, pecan pie, and quilla (which has an interesting history to it unique to the King family!), but most Southerners do love biscuits. I will send a list of the ingredients to you in an email.

Have a wonderful Friday!
