Teacher Gift and Book Exchange reminder!

Hello, dear Parents,

Just a reminder to please turn in your teacher gifts to the office on Wednesday. I will be out of town on Thursday for a family event and I will also miss Friday.

The Book Exchange is on Thursday, however! The teachers will take pictures of the children opening up their books–the wrapping paper is sometimes their favorite part 🙂

Book exchange this Thursday!

Hello, dear Parents,

Just a reminder that our classroom Book Exchange is this Thursday, 12/18, during morning circle. Please send your child to school with a gift-wrapped book that morning for their assigned friends. If you’re not sure who they are bringing a book for, please reach out to the teachers and they will let you know.

Thank you for all your support at the Poetry Recital. You all raised a little over $1,000 dollars for our teacher training! I appreciate it so much.

Some additional information about the Book Swap

Hello, dear Parents!

Tomorrow is our first Book Swap!

The event will occur during the classroom poetry recitals. You’ll see all the different books available for the swap on the front benches close to the c-drive.

While the Poetry Recitals and the Book Swap occurs, please feel free to enjoy the playground and buy treats and beverages from our bake sale.

NEW INFORMATION: There will also be a beautiful selection of wooden ornaments, pendants, and earrings featuring the Marimont logo for sale near the bake sale. My daughter, Tesla, designed our Marimont logo. You can use the Venmo code to purchase the items.

The funds raised will help cover quality staff training through the year. We’ll raise money for training with this bake sale, the ornaments/pendants, and the art show in April. We appreciate your support!

Last email about Dino Park Trip :)

Hello, dear Parents,

There is a second page to the Dino Park invitation that I forgot to mention 🙂

Here’s the invitation, just in case you missed the second page.

It looks like it will be a wonderfully brisk late morning tomorrow! Wading in the Paluxy might be out unless you wanted to do a Polar Plunge. The event is all outdoors so scarves, hats, mittens/gloves, will probably be appreciated until your children start running and playing with their friends.

We do have quite a large group going to the park; between the meeting, hiking, playing, and sharing lunch, the trip will last probably between 1.5-2 hours. After your children have enjoyed lunch close to the two big dinosaurs, the trip will officially end as a large group. Even though you’ll bring lunch from home, I hope you save room for ice cream and/or pie from Glen Rose 🙂 There is a small list of suggested activities for smaller groups on the second page. It’s a beautiful and fun area–I hope you have an amazing time with your family!

If you love BBQ and are driving back through Belton, I highly recommend stopping at Miller’s Smokehouse.

Reimbursements for adult tickets are in your child’s lunchbox today. The older children put the money in their lunchboxes themselves so they may have placed it in the smaller front zippered pocket.

Please let me know if you have any questions and thank you so much,

Rachel
