A guest musician!

Iggy Cubas visited today to demonstrate how to make different sounds with a stringed instrument and also played a song for the children. Please look in your email today for the drum assignment, due at the end of May. The children had a lot of great questions about how to decorate their guitar and learned that the color of the instrument will not affect the sound (gold or pink? They decide 🙂 ) because it won’t affect the vibrations that cause the sound–it also gave us a chance to review our receivers of sound, our ears, versus our eyes. They also asked just how often Iggy practices (every day) and why (so he can play those very difficult pieces!).

If you are interested in your child playing guitar, please let me know and I can recommend a wonderful program to you. They usually accept children aged 5 and older.
