Thank you so much, Parents!

The truck was packed with all of your generous donations to SafePlace. They have two huge canvas rolling bins at SafePlace and I couldn’t even fit all of our donations in them! They had to start unloading the bins to accept more 🙂

Thank you for your kindness and for helping so many families in need. The volunteer explained that these donations are placed in a “shop” at SafePlace. To help each family at SafePlace celebrate this season, the advocates visit this donation area and choose the items that match with a family’s holiday wish list and needs.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

A few notes and updates

Hello, dear Parents!

We are entering an exciting holiday month! Just a few updates and notes:

  1. The SafePlace Toy Drive ends tomorrow! Every class has met their goal. Thank you so much for your thoughtfulness and generosity, Parents! I will drive the toys and other items to SafePlace after 1 pm tomorrow.
  2. Please check your child’s lunchbox for their Thanksgiving Feast note. In 2 weeks, the children will share a Thanksgiving meal together with an item they bring from home. The teachers decorate the tables for the feast; the children celebrate by decorating a groovy hat and making turkey hands as placeholders.
  3. The classrooms will make hallullas (Chilean biscuits) next Thursday. The ingredients will be yeast, flour, milk, vegetable shortening, sugar, salt, and maple syrup. Please let us know if you would prefer for your child not to help/eat the snack.
