Austin OLE! is hosting an event tomorrow. It’s not geared for children, but rather for people who will be helping, educating, or spending time with children 🙂
We are very excited to share that our guest speaker this Saturday morning is someone who truly understands how being outdoors helps children be healthier, happier and smarter. Our speaker is David Buggs, Director of Community Engagement with Texas Parks and Wildlife. David also volunteers on the Board of Directors for Texas Children in Nature and will be sharing with us why nature is important for children and what we can all do to enhance it.
If you have kids, grandkids, kid neighbors, nephews, nieces, kid friends, or are just curious, join us for a lively and fascinating presentation.
Please share with all your kid people!
We also encourage attendees who have an excess of native plants to bring them to the meeting to exchange with others or give away to those who are just now getting into the native plant game!
See you this Saturday, August 10 (9am – Wells Branch Recreation Center, 3000 Shoreline Drive)!
