One week until our first splash day!

If your child is enrolling in the summer program, we have t-minus 7 days before our first splash day!

Each Monday, we’ll attach a reminder note to your child’s lunchbox about the event.

So, how to prepare?

The paramount thing about having fun during splash day are the shoes. Please ensure that your child has the following type of shoe:

These shoes have good grip on their soles and, most importantly, cover the whole foot. Some pea gravel may sneak in through the top as the children run around, but shoes with open heels or with large holes in their design (like Crocs) are no fun for the children to play in. Of course, we still have to make sure that children’s toes are covered at all times. The splash shoe you choose for your child does not need to have an adjustable strap at the heel, but it should cover their heel and ankle.

Please bring you child to school in their bathing suits with their normal clothing layered on top. They should wear their normal sneakers. They will play on the playground in the morning as usual.

Please bring a bag with underwear, water shoes, and a towel packed inside. Please label everything very clearly with permanent marker. If a towel or bag is very special or expensive, please keep it for home use. We try to keep everything very organized and neat at splash day, but we wouldn’t want to lose anything special!

Please let me know if you have any questions about splash day! Thank you so much for helping us prepare. I’ll post lots of pictures of the children having a fabulous time.

A mini-concert

The children watched a couple of young musicians demonstrate different ways to make and to change sound. I wasn’t able to snap a picture of Tes with her electric guitar, but the children also were able to watch her play a little bit of “Dream On” with her Fender 😝

I can’t wait to see everyone’s drums next week!

Little Chefs tasting class today!

Hello, dear Parents!

If your child is enrolled in Little Chefs this spring, they will conclude the semester with a tasting class today. Please walk around to the back door (the red door facing the playground) and a teacher will invite you inside. I will be lining up the children for each class and will be unable to answer the front door. We’ll see you all soon!
