Outside play time and mindful bread tasting!
The younger friends whipped up an amazing batch of drop buttermilk biscuits today! The front classroom smelled delicious.
The older friends read the book Everybody bakes bread and practiced mindfully tasting some of the breads from different cultures listed in that book.

I hope that the new chickens are brave enough for you all to come visit tomorrow morning. The children help collect the eggs in the morning, so they should be acclimating to a louder, more excited an environment than their little farm in Industry, Texas 🙂

Malcolm is in rooster heaven—figuratively. If you look closely in this picture, you can see him, a large, black rooster, leading an adoring group of hens.

The next pictures are our new pullets, Ann, a Bluestar/Cochin cross, and Nancy, an Easter egger. You can see them in the silkie coop by the garden if they feel brave enough to climb down the ladder tomorrow!
