We are hosting a CPR and First Aid class at Marimont tonight. Please let me know if you would like to attend! The class is $30.

The last picture is of someone’s pet cockatiel that decided to land on my head during messy art day with the last class. It kept me company by perching on my shoulder in the office for a bit and is now at the Pflugerville Animal Shelter. If no one claims it in three days, we may have a new school pet.

We will have our first Splash Day of the summer tomorrow!
To prepare for Splash Day:
-Pack a bag with a towel, underwear, and water shoes that are similar to this (with a closed toe, no holes, and full coverage of the foot):

-Bring your child to school with their bathing suit underneath their clothing. They should also wear their normal sneakers and socks rather than their splash shoes (since they will play in the mornings). If your child wears pull-ups, please make sure they are wearing their pull-ups in the morning under their bathing suit.
-Please make sure everything has your child’s name on it.
-Look for a plastic bag on your child’s hook in the afternoon. It will have their water shoes, their bathing suit, and their towel inside.
If you have any questions, please let me know!

Our first splash day will be next Tuesday, 6/7. A little note about how to prepare will be sent home each Monday on your child’s lunchbox. If you have any questions about the activity, please let me know.
Continue readingWe had a little lovely rain this morning during outside playtime. Lining up and rushing inside, dodging rain drops and laughing with friends, is always fun for the children!
