I love the children’s reactions during this art day with fly swatters. Some friends love this messy and alternative way to paint, some warm up to the process, and some give the activity a hard pass but enjoy watching their friends!

The last picture is of someone’s pet cockatiel that decided to land on my head during messy art day with the last class. It kept me company by perching on my shoulder in the office for a bit and is now at the Pflugerville Animal Shelter. If no one claims it in three days, we may have a new school pet.
