Summer program attachment!

Hello, dear Parents!

Please carefully read the following attachment if your child is attending the summer program.

A note about shoes for splash day so you can start looking around in case you need to purchase them:

Children will be allowed to participate in the water side of splash day if they have closed toed water shoes that cover all sides of their foot. Shoes that expose the toe are not safe to wear at school. Any other shoe, such as a Croc or a shoe with an open back, becomes very uncomfortable during playtime due to the pea gravel. These shoes can also have slippery or inflexible soles that do not allow for safe play. Here’s an example of a safe shoe for splash day:

If children do not wear these shoes, they can still chase bubbles and eat watermelon, of course. They just will not be invited to play on the playground side with the hose. Please let me know if you have any questions at all!

Invitations for the art show headed home tomorrow!

Hello, dear Parents!

Next Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday are the dates for our art shows! Each class will have a special night to show up in for a dress, enjoy treats, and show their art to their parents. The art show usually lasts about 20 minutes and will start at 5:30 each evening. Your invitation will have more details!

We raise funds for the school each year during the art show; this year, all donations will help support furniture purchases, including an outdoor library and shelving area, and play materials in the pergola area (that we will renovate and open this summer!).

On the hunt!

The children had a great time seeking their eggs today and helping friends find their eggs. They were so quick, in fact, that I was only able to take pictures of their backs as they ran off to find their treasure!

A wonderful Wednesday!

Marimont will have a very special egg hunt tomorrow. The teachers write the children’s name on just one egg and they have to hunt for it! Instead of running around trying to snatch all the eggs before other children reach them, they have a great time looking for the one special egg they know is waiting for them somewhere on the playground!
