It was great to see everyone this morning. I hope you all had a restful and wonderful holiday.
The Toy Drive deadline is now Tuesday, December 7th. I’ll post a picture of our totals and progress towards our goals tomorrow. The presents should not be wrapped–thank you, Parents, for reminding me about that! The children are so excited to help. Thank you for your support!

The teachers and I are so excited to start our Toy Drive on Monday. Each year, the guides discuss what SafePlace is with their classes. We talk about how these children had to leave where they lived–and usually most of the things they owned–because their home was no longer a safe place for them. When we donate toys, we can help the children celebrate the holidays with new things they like for their new home.
All donations for the Toy Drive should be new and free from any images or suggestions of violence (a nerf gun isn’t invited, but a Doc McStuffins coloring book or plush toy would be great!). SafePlace has created a wish list of their most needed items:

The Fill-the-Tundra Toy Drive ends on Thursday, December 2nd. I’ll send out many reminders and also share the classroom goals that the children set for themselves!
