Our USborne Book Fair begins tomorrow!

Hello, dear Parents!

Our book fair begins tomorrow, bright and early, on Monday morning. I wanted to give you a little more information about it.

1. The book fair is set up in the front room/old toddler room/extracurricular room. I was wary of an outside setup with the mercurial fall weather. You can ask a teacher for entry into the main building through the back door close to the playground. We will be happy to oblige!

2. Ms. Adriane, a wonderful woman and friend, is our consultant for the fair. She will be present Tuesday-Friday morning, 8:00-9:30, and Monday-Friday afternoon, 3:30-5:30, to help you and your child choose books 🙂 Even though she will not be available Monday morning, you can fill out a wish list and leave it with me. I’ll make sure she receives it so your books will be ready on Monday afternoon!

3. There is a QR code in a very noticeable location in the front room. You can choose which books you like, fill out a wish list, and scan the QR code to order online if you prefer.

4. The teachers are creating their classroom wish lists tomorrow. The lists will be displayed in the front room with the books.

5. Marimont receives 50% of any order you place to help expand our library!

If you need any help tomorrow, or have any questions, at all, please let me know! I will be happy to help.

Have a wonderful evening,

Rachel

Please let me know if you have any questions about any of these events.

Our classroom fables!

Fable Fancy Dress Up Day will be on Thursday, October 21st. I can’t wait to see everyone’s costumes!

Ms. Gabi’s class/Silly Dandelions choose The Mouse and The Seashore by Arnold Lobel. You can find the story here on pgs. 34-37. I recommend adding this book to your library!

Ms. Jerical’s class/Purple Unicorns voted for The Boy who Cried Wolf by Aesop. This fable is an old favorite!

Ms. Adriana’s class/Awesome Axolotls voted for The Kid and the Wolf by Aesop. This fable is lesser known; you can find various versions of it here. The children are reading the Eliot/Jacobs version (begins next to the illustration by Milo Winter)
