Lesson time during summer program!

I also wanted to touch base about our two holidays in July on 7/5 and 7/30.

Friday, 7/30, is a School Tidy Up for the staff. The teachers and I will scrub, polish, plan, laminate, prepare, dust, and shine up the school for our first day of the school year on Monday, August 2nd.

Why are we covered in paint?

A few of our friends were very enthusiastic with their fly swatter painting! This project is always a big hit (sorry, couldn’t resist the pun) with all the children!

Our first Splash Day!

The children had such a blast playing in the water today! I wanted to warn you all that tomorrow’s Messy Art day activity is EXTREMELY messy! Any clothing your child wears to school will probably have a few paint splatters on them when they arrive home 😊

Normal Splash Day tomorrow!

Yay! Your child can come to school in their bathing suits/with shirts or rash guards and wearing their normal sneakers. They should bring a bag with water shoes, a towel, and a change of clothing inside. We’ll help them change their shoes before splash day! After watermelon, bubbles, and fun on the playground with the hose, we will into our regular clothing and sneakers.

Please let me know if you have any questions at all!

What a beautiful morning!

We thoroughly enjoyed our playtime before the thunder began to roll.

I’ll keep an eye on the weather as next Tuesday approaches and make a call about our next splash day by Sunday. The current forecast doesn’t look favorable for a full splash day at the moment—but we can still enjoy watermelon and bubbles!

We hope you are having an amazing day!

Popsicle Day tomorrow!

The children had a great time with the sensorial experience of mixing, touching, and smelling the Kool-aid playdough they made as a class today. Next week’s Art Day will be truly, absolutely messy when we paint with fly swatters–just a heads up 🙂

I love this specific playdough recipe since it contains only ingredients you probably have in your house. I have attached a copy of the recipe if you are interested in making more playdough at home with your little one!
