I hope you all had a fabulous day!
Month: June 2020
Texas weather defies prediction
If I scheduled Splash Day on the rainiest, stormiest day of the week, I apologize! We did have a enjoyable time munching watermelon and chasing bubbles.
Splash Day tomorrow!
Here’s to warm temperatures and NO thunderstorms–hopefully! We also will enjoy our new bubble machine and watermelon!
The older children also voted on a class name today. We have the Purple Unicorns (with Ms. Jerical, Ms. Adriana, Ms. Marissa, and Ms. Sabrina), the Silly Dandelions (with Ms. Gabi, Ms. Alicia, and Ms. Mary Ann), and the Awesome Axolotls (with Ms. Rachel, Ms. Yenifer, and Ms. Blanca).
And a very happy Splash Day to you!

We hope your Friday is fabulous! Thank you for preparing your children for today’s festivities.
Pictures from yesterday!
I apologize for not posting these pictures in a more timely fashion! We had a blast with our Art Project (the front classroom literally had a paint bottle blast open and squirt paint everywhere) with some classes creating beautiful works of puffy salt paint art! Not the front class though. We laughed, cleaned up, and turned to more reliable sidewalk chalk.
Happy Thursday!
Our third Splash Day is nigh! Please let me know if you’ve had any questions about the summer program!
Happy Splash Day!
These kiddos crack me up! Does your child like devouring watermelon, chasing bubbles, or being sprayed by the hose the most? I hope you all have a wonderful afternoon!
A beautiful day!
The children made kool-aid playdough today during their messy art activity. Please look for a copy of the recipe in their lunch boxes tomorrow!–if you make it at home, be prepared to use twice the amount of flour that the recipe calls for.
Do you have newspapers laying about?
If so, we will gladly take them! The older children will use the newspapers for our first game week that will take place during next week’s afternoon circle. I’ll post the games so you can play at home, too!
This week, our younger friends are reading Elmer the Elephant and creating their own elephant art with sponge-brushes (made with sponges and clothespins to allow a firm grasp for creating art with inspiration and lots of paint!).
The older group will read and review We, the Kids. They will then create and vote on their own classroom constitution. On Friday, they will sign it. If you make or have a constitution for your home, we would love for your child to bring it in to share!
A very merry Monday to you!
What a gorgeous day for a picnic! Your children are keeping a close eye out for Mr. Pickwick during lunch. He’s a rabbit who has decided to live near our picnic area!
