Hello, dear Parents!

I sent an email to everyone through SmartCare about our Valentine’s Day card exchange and Sharing Birthdays. I also wanted to post the links on this page, however.

For our own Valentine’s Day event (which we can have on Friday, 2/14, this year!), the children should bring in 29 homemade Valentine cards addressed “To my friend.” They can write their own names on the cards, of course! You can attach candy or other goodies to the cards. The children will make their own bags here at school. After the exchange, we tape the bags up and send the treats and cards home! The children will love showing you all the treats and unique Valentines they collected!

For our Sharing Birthdays Project, you can sign up on the link and bring in the treat on Valentine’s Day, Friday, 2/14. The children will use these treats to help put together a birthday box for a child in the homeless or foster care system. We’ll decorate the box with stickers and write a note to the child.  If you see “red/yellow”, “blue/yellow”, or “purple/yellow”, you can bring objects that are either one color or the other. If you find something that coordinates with those colors, or is bright and multi-colored, we will gladly accept it! Thank you so much, Parents!
