Cool kids and hep cats

Wow! We had Frank Sinatra, Elvis Costello, Jimi Hendrix, Katy Perry, Johnny Cash, and a tremendous mix of other talent at our school today! Thank you, Parents, for helping to make our Dress-like-a-decade Day so fun.

We hope you all have a safe and wonderful holiday break. I wish you the very best in your New Year. We’ll see you all on Friday, January 3rd, for the spring semester.

A shout out to our fantastic teachers!

Hello, dear Parents! Yesterday we received a perfect score on our licensing inspection! Woohoo! The inspection covers everything from ensuring you know the ages of your children to making sure that the first aid boxes have antiseptic towlettes that aren’t expired and multi-sized bandages. We have a great licensing representative with extremely high standards, so I’m always so proud of our teachers for their care and thoroughness each year!

Happy Monday!

I hope you all had an amazing, relaxing weekend! Be on the lookout for fedoras, bell bottoms, bowties, and beaded swing dresses (or poodle dresses!) on Friday for our Dress-like-a-decade celebration!

You rock!!

You have all helped make our Fill-the-tundra Toy Drive an enormous success! The woman who helped me unload the toys at the warehouse commented that we must be a very large school to have brought in so many donations. I said we are small, but passionate! I’ve attached a picture of the top of our receipt that describes whom these donations will help. Thank you, Parents, for your unwavering awesomeness!

We need your help to fill the Tundra!

Dear Parents,

We have a steadily growing pile of SafePlace presents in the office. Thank you for all the donations so far! But we need more help to fill the Tundra! If you haven’t yet brought a toy donation in to the school, tomorrow is our deadline. I’ll make my trip to the SafePlace warehouse at noon. Please help us fill the truck!

Did you receive a note about Dress-like-a-decade Day?

On Friday, December 20th, the children are invited to come to school in their clothing from the past! I look forward to seeing bow ties, top hats, flowery head bands, sunglasses, and bell bottoms to celebrate our study of American music. A school favorite is “Hit the Road, Jack” by Ray Charles. Please let me know if you have any questions at all!
