Hello Parents!

A possible severe weather event may occur tonight and tomorrow morning–as I’m sure you have all noticed from our excited local meteorologists! 😉

We will follow the PISD schedule tomorrow. If they close, we will also close. More zealous meteorologists predict school closures Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. We will keep our eyes on the weather and update the blog and answering machine as needed. I will also send out group emails about 5 a.m.

This is a friendly reminder that we will be closed on Monday, January 15th for MLK Day. Have a great day!

We are celebrating MLK Day today with cooking projects, head bands and stories. We will have a holiday on Monday! We’ll see you all back at school on Tuesday.

The meteorologists say that we may experience a wintry mix soon. Stay warm!

When I made my rounds this morning, so many children had chosen some form of practical life to work on. Practical life work provides the basis (paired with sensorial) for the successful completion of all other Montessori lessons. We usually see children gather in our practical life areas after long breaks–they are warming up their hands and their minds!
