The Zoo Man came to visit today! His real name is Michael Hicks and he is the owner and director of the Capital of Texas Zoo. He’s also part of a world-wide effort to save various reptiles (especially snakes) through breeding programs at different zoos. He always ends the show with a snake and advice about what to do if you see one in the wild (don’t touch it!) š

The brave snake volunteers: Jeremiah and Elodie

Ms. Jerical helps tell the children what a snake actually feels like–and it’s not slimy, wet or hot!

Sausage the blue-tongue skink visits the school so much he should enroll.

Parker and Jianna help demonstrate how a skink smells.

You can’t see it very well, but all of the following children chose to hold a giant hissing cockroach. They washed their hands afterwards!

Want to hold giant hissing cockroaches from Madagascar? Harper and Antoine say yes!

Quill is a six-month old porcupine and is still getting used to the limelight.

The coatimundi chaos twins!

It really enjoyed my hair!
