Hello Parents!
I wanted to share this very thorough resource with you about where to buy and how to make sandpaper letters:

We use sandpaper letters in the classroom to instruct and to play games by teaching the sounds of the letters rather than the names. This difference in instruction makes learning to read much easier.
Parents sometimes ask how they can help their children at home. Playing sound games in the car with text around you (bill boards, books, store fronts) and isolating short vowel sounds is great–as is any rhyming game you can think of! We're in Texas, so sometimes our short 'e' sounds quite a bit like our short 'i'.
