Construction notes…

…please let me know if you have not received a note detailing procedure for Thursday and Friday’s drop-off and pick-up procedures.

Happy Friday to you!

Our great driveway adventure starts next week! A note will be in your child’s lunchbox today.  Thank you for your patience during this time!

Drop-off/Pick-up change next Thursday and Friday

Dear Parents,
Beginning July 19th  we will begin replacing our driveway. The driveway will be open to traffic on the 19th.  The construction crew will set up for demolition of our current driveway on that day.
On July 20th & 21st , the driveway and parking lot will be closed to all traffic.  We have received permission from our neighbors at Burrell Printing to use their drive for drop off and pick up only. Parents will not be allowed to leave their cars unattended.  We will have staff members manning the designated drop off/ pick up point throughout the day.  The drop off/ pick up point is located at our gate adjacent to the Sheep shed in the grass area of our playground.  Please enter from FM 685 into Burrell’s driveway and proceed straight through their drive.  You will see the drop off/ pick up point marked by a blue canopy and orange cones.  After drop off/ pick up you can proceed straight through the rest of  Burrell’s drive to Austin-Hutto Road.  A left turn will take you back to FM 685, a right will take you to Pecan street.
Please remember that on July 20th & 21st no parking will be allowed at the pick up /drop off point. If you feel that you must park, please do so in the empty grass field behind that school.  Our neighbor has very graciously allowed us to use of his drive these two days and we do not want to block his driveway.
I understand that these changes may cause an inconvenience to some but our driveway is need of replacement.  If you have any questions please feel free to let me know at JamesCubas@marimontmontessoripreschool.net .
Thank you,
James Cubas

A truly Messy Art day!

It always amazes me how children differ in their reactions to and their ultimate creations with process art. We worked on a little pointillism today with grape painting!

Happy Monday to you all!

I hope you all had a fabulous 4th of July. It’s so good to see you all! If you look carefully around the chicken coop, you may see a new chicken. She is a cream legbar. She’s very skittish and a superb flier. Please watch her from a distance so she doesn’t fly right over the fence (like she did with me yesterday 🙂 )!
