A gorgeous day!

Hello Parents! I usually try not to disturb the children during lesson time, but a few of our friends at the snack table wanted to see the world through the camera lens!

Welcome back!

I hope you all had a wonderful and relaxing weekend–and that you’re taking your allergy medicine or that you’re totally immune to the debilitating effects of cedar!

A January morning in our classroom…

…we’re in our warm winter clothing and focusing on our work. Children of this age must have movement incorporated into their learning for the ideal experience. While not every Montessori lesson calls for gross motor skills, the opportunity to cruise the classroom for snack or to choose a new lesson is perfect–but you will view a picture of a friend practing patterning and size discrimination by building a large maze of red rods!

Early morning playtime with the toddlers! A three or four hour work period is not an option for them, so they do extra movement and music!
