Dear Parents,
I hope you all have a wonderful, safe and amazing holiday season! It has been such a joy to work with your children and you all this year.
We will see you back in the new year of 2017 on Tuesday, January 3rd!
The toys are snugly placed in the Tahoe–ready for Christmas delivery!
The amount y’all brought is amazing and so wonderful! So many children will have a better Christmas because you all were their Santa Clauses!
Ava and Weston will be our to-scale models to show how HUGE the toy pile was.
Dear Parents,
This week, we’re diving into a few of my favorite holiday books.
The children will read Seven Spools of Thread by Angela Shelf Medearis, Hershel and the Hanukkah Goblins by Eric A. Kimmel (and illustrated by my FAVORITE illustrator, Trina Schart Hyman) and, of course, The Grinch that Stole Christmas by Dr. Seuss.
I encourage you to look these books up–Hershel and the Hanukkah Goblins is a classroom favorite year-round!
If you have any more toys to donate to our drive, please bring them to school tomorrow morning. I will drive to the warehouse tomorrow afternoon about 1 p.m. Before I go, I will take a picture of the Tahoe loaded up with all the toys you donated. Thank you so much, parents and children, you acted like Santa Claus to someone who really needed your help!
