Cold and inclement weather policy

Hello Parents!

I wanted to share our cold weather and inclement weather policy (good to be prepared, right? 😉).

We will all play outside if the windchill is 50 degrees or warmer–don’t laugh at us, Parents from the North!  Texans turn into popsicles at 49 degrees and below. No one will be inside to monitor children who are not dressed warmly, so please bundle the kiddos up in layers.

In case of an icy or snowy morning, please check the blog and your email. James and I will make an official decision about any closures or delays by 6:00 a.m. We don’t follow the public school closures because predicted ice storms don’t always blow through and we don’t have to coordinate quite the same amount of people and vehicles! If there is a significant ice or snow event and roads are unsafe, we will be closed or delayed. We do not hold make-up days for inclement weather.

Please email me if you have any questions!
