We all hope your day was equally enjoyable!

Cold and inclement weather policy
Hello Parents!
I wanted to share our cold weather and inclement weather policy (good to be prepared, right? 😉).
We will all play outside if the windchill is 50 degrees or warmer–don’t laugh at us, Parents from the North! Texans turn into popsicles at 49 degrees and below. No one will be inside to monitor children who are not dressed warmly, so please bundle the kiddos up in layers.
In case of an icy or snowy morning, please check the blog and your email. James and I will make an official decision about any closures or delays by 6:00 a.m. We don’t follow the public school closures because predicted ice storms don’t always blow through and we don’t have to coordinate quite the same amount of people and vehicles! If there is a significant ice or snow event and roads are unsafe, we will be closed or delayed. We do not hold make-up days for inclement weather.
Please email me if you have any questions!
Merry Tuesday to you!
Good to see you all here!
Drums due tomorrow
Dear Parents,
We will finish out this month (and learning about sound) with a jam session! Please make sure your child brings their drum to school for a brief show-and-tell before they rock out!
Hope they like this video!

Happy Tuesday!
Thanksgiving holiday starts tomorrow
Happy early Thanksgiving!
We will see you all Monday, November 28th!
A chilly Monday morning…
Whoa! What a feast!
Thank you, Parents, for the delicious food you and your child brought for our feast today! The children had a very special lunch. The teachers set up very lovely tables. Please enjoy these pictures of your kiddos in various stages of chowing down 😜 We are thankful for our wonderful teachers, for the amazing children and for all of you!
Work period today…
In a Montessori classroom, children are invited to choose the work they desire from a group of lessons that the guide has presented to them. Accidents and experimentation are OK! When children show mastery of a task, lesson or skill, the guide provides extensions to encourage further exploration of the core lessons. Sometimes, however, the most fulfilling extension for the child arises from his or her own creative exploration. In a Montessori classroom, children are encouraged to self-regulate. When they are tired or need a quiet moment away, they can visit the peace corner. If they are hungry, they can visit the snack table! Children relish these opportunities to practice independence and responsibility while also building skills such as self-awareness and respect towards one another and the environment.
