The Zoo Man visits!

The children always have a fabulous time with the Zoo Man’s animals. Today, they were able to see a cockatoo (who wandered around our cactus garden), a giant African tortoise, a coatimundi, s blue-tongued skink (thank you to our brave volunteers Jeremiah and Hunter!), giant hissing cockroaches (their favorite–you’ll see pictures of them holding the insects!) and a python. If you would like to visit the Zoo Man’s zoo, please check him out on this website: Capital of Texas Zoo

Picture Day at Marimont

Dear Parents,

We will have our Fall Picture Day next Thursday, October 6th for Ms. Joanna’s class and next Friday, October 7th for Ms. TaQueria and Ms. Stefanie’s classes!

I look forward to seeing all the children in their picture day outfits 🙂

Have a great day!

Northern European taste testing this week!

Hello Parents,

If you are able, we would appreciate your help making some delicious, Northern European food for this Wednesday’s afternoon circle! I listed some ideas last week, but please feel free to bring in your own Northern European recipe. Please email me at rachelcubas@marimontmontessoripreschool.net if you can help.

Thank you so much!

Happy Friday to you all!

The weather on Monday will be much different than today! Your child may need a sweater–believe it or not. We’ll see if this fall has crazy weather–or if we’re in for another mild winter season! 😉

Children at work!

I love catching the triumphant moments of the classroom. Jeremiah is so excited when he made the art card match from memory! We wish you all a great first fall day!

Mindfulness with food

Today, the children tried a few different foods mindfully 😊 Even if they weren’t sure about candied orange peels, angel food, cotton candy grapes or rainbow carrots, they tried it out! You can see from some of the pictures that candied orange peels weren’t everyone’s favorite!
